clinical massage therapy
Clinical or medical massage is a comprehensive method of soft tissue mobilization consisting of myofascial/fascial mobilization, myofascial decompression/cupping, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, active release and other techniques.
Clinical massage is very effective in treating variety of disorders, such as sciatica, shoulder, knee, hip pain, lower back pain, headaches, temporamandibular joint dysfunction, hypertension, cancer, pre-post surgery or scar tissue reduction and palliative massage.

You can schedule an initial evaluation, and we will discuss the options which work best for your issues and goals.
The initial appointment includes orthopedic assessment, manual muscle testing and a customized exercise plan.

Initial Evaluation - $150
Follow-up - $80/hour & $110/90 min (weekly/bi-weekly)
-no more than 4 weeks between appointment required.
MYOFASCIAL THERAPY
Myofascial therapy is a form of deep tissue therapy and medical massage intended to eliminate pain, increase the range of motion, and rebalance the entire body.

Benefits:

- Decrease chronic pain
- Speed healing from injury and surgery
- Reduce scar tissue and adhesions
- Realigns muscle fibers
- Increase blood circulation
- One of the best methods to treat PAIN
It's the most documented/beneficial massage therapy in literature.
myofascial cupping
Myofascial decompression or cupping helps treat musculoskeletal disorders by using suction to create negative pressure underneath the cup. The negative pressure helps to decompress the area by lifting the skin and the layer of tissue underneath the skin, the fascia, up into the cup. This creates space for the underlying tight muscle to lay down and relax.
Cupping helps bring blood flow to the area in need. Blood carries important nutrients which help with tissue healing. I use myofascial decompression to correct compensatory movement patterns. Movement can be in the form of sliding the cups over the tissue or leaving the cups on the tissue while moving body parts.

Benefits:

- Reduce pain and tightness
- Speed healing from injury and surgery
- Reduce scar tissue and adhesions
- Correct movement patterns
- Increase blood circulation

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE vs MEDICAL MASSAGE:
Medical massage incorporates many of the same techniques as therapeutic massage, along with more advanced modalities. Medical massage includes orthopedic testing and treatment plan. One of the most commontechnique used in medical massage is myofascial mobilization to reduce connective tissue restrictions, scar tissue, and open nerve roots.
The goal of medical technique is to produce permanent changes in the soft tissue and it has to be done regularly as a treatment.

Therapeutic massage doesn't include orthopedic assessment and treatment plan. It focuses on reducing muscle tension and discomfort and promote general relaxation for the whole body.
